2017 Fiesta® Carnival Opens at The Alamodome

SAN ANTONIO (April 20, 2017) – Get your fix of Fiesta foods, thrilling rides, and family fun at the 2017 Fiesta San Antonio Carnival at the Alamodome April 20 – 30, 2017.

The Carnival will continue to be free admission with pay by the ride options. “Pay One Price” wristbands will return for 2017. Patrons can pay a one-time, flat-rate for the night to get access to endless rides and entertainment. Dollar Day is Wednesday, April 26 from 5 pm to midnight.

Beloved fan favorites will return to the Carnival, but the new Crazy-Mouse Rollercoaster will delight any Fiesta thrill seekers this year. The “Crazy Mouse” is one of the most exciting roller coasters traveling the country. Individual cars carry riders along the track’s dips and drops, while the cars spin in a circular motion, adding a whole new dimension of thrills. The crazy mouse is fun for the whole family and guests young and old can enjoy the ride together.

Wade Shows will return to produce the 2017 Fiesta Carnival. Wade Shows is a company committed to inclusion and community engagement.

“Our main goal here is to provide an opportunity for all residents of San Antonio to participate in the joy of Fiesta” said Frank Zaitshik, the CEO of Wade Shows. “We’re excited to be back here again for the 10th year.”

A company committed to inclusion and community engagement, Wade Shows will again host Fiesta® Especial’s Celebration Day on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Celebration Day welcomes individuals with disabilities and their families to experience Carnival and spend a day immersed in the rides, games, and food of Fiesta. In 2014, Fiesta Especial was faced with the decision to cancel their Celebration Day. When news reached Frank, he came to the table and donated the use of the grounds at no cost. His generous gift significantly reduces costs and allows more than one thousand children in special education programs and adults with disabilities to experience the joy and engagement in Fiesta San Antonio. This year, Fiesta Especial Celebration Day anticipates to serve 3,000 individuals with disabilities and their caretakers

Fiesta San Antonio and Wade Shows are committed to the City of San Antonio’s Green Initiative. Fiesta Carnival is primarily illuminated by energy-saving LED bulbs, decreasing energy usage by more than 90 percent compared to conventional bulbs. Fiesta San Antonio and Wade shows ask attendees to party responsibly and use the earth-friendly trash receptacles located along parade routes and at more than 100 Fiesta events, including Carnival.
