Military City USA, My wife, Maureen, and I are honored to celebrate the city of San Antonio, Texas through Fiesta 2024. For more than a century, the San Antonio community rallied together during “Fiesta” to pay homage to the bravery displayed in the legendary Battle of the Alamo and the pivotal Battle of San Jacinto. Today, Fiesta is a testament to the rich heritage and history that weave our community together.

San Antonio, also known as “Military City USA,” is a steadfast waypoint for legions of service members embarking on a journey for a cause greater than themselves. These individuals stand united in the face of uniquely complex challenges, and proudly display an unwavering commitment to our nation’s values.

Just as the defenders of the Alamo held their ground amid remarkable adversity, the warfighters trained here are instilled with a kindred warrior spirit of courage and tenacity. They are ready for the challenges of a rapidly evolving world, equipped with the confidence and skillsets required to serve their country with valor.

On behalf of the active, guard, and reserve military members, government civilians, veterans, and their families who proudly call San Antonio home, this illustrious city’s camaraderie and long-standing support are greatly appreciated. It is with immense gratitude that I thank you for making all who serve here an integral part of this storied community. Together, we will embrace the Fiesta spirit, making this year’s celebration both grand and inspirational for everyone!
