Event Details

The San Antonio Symphonic Band will present a community celebration of Fiesta by performing both traditional and new concert band music. The performance will include musical arrangements, which celebrates the rich cultural past of the city of San Antonio and surrounding area, tributes to our military, as well as fun musical arrangements of movie and show tunes. The band strives to present music that people of all backgrounds can enjoy. This concert is a unique opportunity to celebrate Fiesta in the concert band tradition!

 

The San Antonio Symphonic Band is a dynamic wind and percussion ensemble that strives to provide the finest in concert band performances to the city of San Antonio and surrounding communities. This all-volunteer organization was created in 1986 and has had the privilege to perform an incredible variety of music. From Sousa marches to classical transcriptions, Fiesta themes, show tunes, and modern concert literature – this band plays them all, tailoring the selections to the theme of the concert. The mission of the San Antonio Symphonic Band is to provide an outlet for community members to play the highest-quality music, as well as to perform free concerts to the public to spread the joy of music to the community.
