Annual Fiesta Exhibit: A World of Inspiration

The upcoming Fiesta exhibit, titled A World of Inspiration, will present the international story of Fiesta.

This exhibit will include Order of the Alamo robes and trains from the Witte collection and on temporary loans from San Antonio families.

Additionally, A World of Inspiration may include other clothing items inspired by the international celebrations hosted during Fiesta.

The spectacular and sparkling gowns will span different eras and will all share designs inspired by other countries.

The Witte Museum is one of the only locations in San Antonio to learn about Fiesta’s history from its origins in 1891 with the Battle of Flowers Parade to today’s Fiesta San Antonio Commission events, and the Witte is also the home for the Fiesta San Antonio Commission’s poster collection from the past decade.

The Witte’s annual exhibition of Fiesta gowns, accompanied by informative interpretative signage, sparks the imaginations of visitors of all ages and from all backgrounds.

Founded in 1926, the Witte Museum is where Nature, Science, and Culture Meet, through the lens of Texas Deep Time, and the themes of Land, Water and Sky.

Located on the banks of the San Antonio River in Brackenridge Park, the Witte Museum is San Antonio’s premier museum promoting lifelong learning through innovative exhibitions, programs and collections in natural history, science and South Texas heritage.

General Admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for children (4-11). Admission to the Fiesta Exhibition is included with General Admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Witte.
