Event Details

Earth Day is a time to get outside, create, explore, and celebrate environmental stewardship. The event informs residents of San Antonio on how to protect the resources that are essential to the well-being of our community and learn how to care for the environment. There will be a diverse number of displays and exhibits, educational activities, live demonstrations, delicious healthy food, speakers, live entertainment, fitness activities, giveaways, and family fun!

The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department operates the City’s recreational and cultural programs and maintains more than 240 city-owned parks, including swimming pools, gymnasiums, historic cemeteries, sports facilities, and recreation centers. The department is responsible for the maintenance of 15,337,595 acres of park land, including more than 150 miles of walking, hiking, and biking trails. Our mission is to provide exceptional parks, facilities, programs, and services to improve the quality of life for all.
