10th Street River Festival

• VFW Post 76 is the Oldest Post in Texas chartered June 26, 1917 by Veterans of the Spanish American War.

• We are located in the Texas Historical Landmark “The Petty House” on the San Antonio Riverwalk and open to the public.

• We provide a safe environment for combat veterans to foster meaningful relationships in a patriotic and friendly setting.

• Our mission is to serve our fellow Veterans, the military, and our communities.

• The 10th Street River Festival is a three-day family-oriented event with free live entertainment, dancing, and camaraderie (food and beverages available for purchase)

• The 19th-century mansion is located on 10th Street and B Avenue, and is a place for great fun, food, cold drinks, and entertainment that exemplifies the cultural diversity of San Antonio. With live music being the focus, musical groups will entertain Fiesta revelers with the sounds of Tejano, Oldies, Blues and Country Western.

•  VFW Post 76 active across the city limits by supporting various veteran or community wide projects, Post 76 has live music performed by a DJ or band offered free of charge beginning on Fridays and extending to the weekends throughout the summer.

• We support our local District One Elementary Schools with over 100 donated backpacks and school supplies valued at $2,000.00 in grants and donations.

• We provide quarterly support for Broken Warrior Homeless Veteran efforts, San Antonio Food Bank, several nonprofits such as Red, White, and Blue (RWB), Irreverent Warriors, Ghost Runners, local church groups, and other official military functions.

• Our Service Officer works directly with military, veterans, and their families to help assist them in the claims process with the Veterans Administration (VA) for their eligible benefits. Additionally, our Service Officer assists low-income Veterans and their families in applying for appropriate city and state financial assistance. This assistance is provided at no cost to the veteran or their family.

Ticket Info:

Admission is free; tickets are required for beverage purchase and are different prices according to the beverage. Food for purchase is available at different food vendor booths.
