Fiesta Flambeau Parade

The Fiesta Flambeau Parade was founded in 1948 by Reynolds Andricks. Andricks had enjoyed night parades as part of the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans and believed that with help he could create an event as unique as San Antonio, known as the Flambeau Parade. Flambeau’ is a French word meaning a tall candlestick or burning torch.

In 2006, the Fiesta Flambeau® Parade Association, Inc. introduced “Torchy” as its official mascot.  The Fiesta Flambeau Parade is the largest illuminated night parade in the country!
