This elegant evening supports the Pioneers’ mission to preserve Texas history education and provide scholarships to high school seniors. The Patriotic and Historical Ball is one of the opening galas of Fiesta® 2026.
The first ball was held in 1919 to honor San Antonio’s military personnel – and the tradition continues today.
The evening begins with patriotic ceremonies, followed by the introduction of the Pioneers’ own Fiesta royalty, the 2026 Honorary Lady Chairman, Irma Iris Duran de Rodriguez. A highlight of the night is a special visit from King Antonio of the Texas Cavaliers River Parade – his first official duty as King!
