The Fiesta Track Meet has been a staple event since 1984, hosted annually by Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter.
The inaugural event in 1984 was led by Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter President Gaynell Gainer.
The Alpha Pi Zeta Foundation proudly sponsors the Fiesta Track Meet as a signature community service event.
Wynell Mann, Chair of the Alpha Pi Zeta Foundation, carries on the legacy of her father, Iva Mann, a pioneer of the Fiesta Track Meet. The Sportsmanship Award is named in his honor.
Ethel Garrett of Alpha Pi Zeta, along with her late husband, Frank Garrett, were also early pioneers of the event. The Overall Participation Award is named in Frank’s honor.
