Time

7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Location

San Antonio River Walk, San Antonio TX 78205
The River Parade began in 1941 after members of the Texas Cavaliers witnessed beautifully decorated boats and barges in the “floating gardens” of Mexico City and were inspired to bring a similar celebration to San Antonio! 🌸 🌼 🛶

The first parade featured boats representing schools, local businesses, civic organizations, and the U.S. Army – launching what would become one of Fiesta’s most iconic traditions.

Founded in 1926 by John B. Carrington, the Texas Cavaliers are composed of more than 500 business, civic, and community leaders dedicated to promoting and preserving the bravery and independence for which the heroes of the Alamo fought.

Each year, the parade draws more than 250,000 spectators along the picturesque San Antonio River Walk.

In 1989, the organization established the Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation to support local children’s charities. To date, the Texas Cavaliers have distributed more than $14 million to Texas charities. 💰 👏
