Darrell Lynch – PMO, San Antonio Zulu Association / Fiesta® San Antonio Commission
Darrell Lynch serves as the PMO for the San Antonio Zulu Association (SAZA), a philanthropic organization dedicated to uplifting the greater San Antonio community. Under his leadership, SAZA continues its long-standing mission of service, including providing 20 annual scholarships to support emerging young leaders.
Military Service & Professional Excellence
Darrell is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he earned multiple honors, including the Medal of Commendation, Medal of Achievement, National Defense Service Medal, and the Outstanding Unit Award. As a team leader, he played critical roles in major missions such as:
- Recovery operations for the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1986
- Humanitarian relief deployment to Mogadishu, Somalia
- Search, rescue, and water purification efforts following the 1985 Mexico City earthquake
- Service during Operation Desert Storm
As both a Professional Military Education Instructor and Technical Training Instructor, Darrell taught Water and Waste Treatment, Plumbing and Water Distribution, and Confined Space Entry. Before completing his military career, he held Water and Wastewater Treatment licenses in Hawaii, California, and Texas.
Public Service & Community Leadership
After leaving the Air Force, Darrell continued his commitment to public service as a Utilities Specialist for the City of Richardson, where he served for 15 years.
In 2014, Darrell and his wife Dwanna founded The Men With Vision Foundation, In Westminster California. A nonprofit built on dignity, choice, and compassion. The foundation operates:
- A client-choice food pantry serving 350–400 families weekly
- Participates in Grocery Rescue from several major Grocery chains
- A clothing closet for individuals in need
- An annual Christmas toy giveaway program
Darrell leads a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who provide essential, life-sustaining services to the community. His leadership is grounded in the values instilled in him from childhood and strengthened through military service — service, readiness, and care for others.
Nonprofit Governance & Organizational Support
Darrell also serves as Vice President of Dorcus Inc. in Long Beach, California, where he assists agencies with affordable 501(c)(3) setup, filing, and organizational counseling.
Fiesta® San Antonio Commission Service
As PMO for the San Antonio Zulu Association, Darrell works closely with the Fiesta® San Antonio Commission, a nonprofit organization responsible for planning, promoting, and preserving Fiesta San Antonio. He has served on the Accreditation Committee and volunteered across multiple Fiesta events, supporting the Commission’s mission to celebrate the heritage, culture, and spirit of San Antonio.
