
Erwin De Luna

Erwin J. De Luna – He is President of the Board of Directors for the United San Antonio Pow Wow, Inc. (since 1997), a Texas chartered and 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to promote the traditions and culture of the American Indian. He is of Navajo and Taos Pueblo ancestry. He is a member of the Kiowa Tia Pah Society (Oklahoma) and a member of the Lottie Shunkamolah chapter of the Native American Church of Oklahoma. He is an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church and the Christian Global Outreach Ministries.
He has been a member of the Fiesta Commission since 1999 and served on the Fiesta San Antonio Commission Executive Committee and Board of Directors in many positions since 2007 and serving as the Fiesta Commission President in 2017. He was inducted into the Order of the Cascaron in 2010.
He has been a member of the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association (since 2003 and has served as the President of the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Charitable Association from 2022-2023 and 2025-2026. He serves on the Westside Creeks Oversight Committee (since 2008 – San Antonio River Authority). He is a Board member with the San Antonio Conservation Society.
Mr. De Luna is a Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association and Life Member of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. He is a Vigil Member of the order of the Arrow. A Life member of the UTSA Alumni Association.
In 2022 he was made an Honorary Admiral in the Texas Navy and he was Commissioned and appointed as an Admiral in the Texas Navy Association and he was Honored as a Distinguished Quartermaster Joint Base San Antonio.
He is Lieutenant with the Former Texas Ranger Foundation and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is an Eagle Scout and has been presented witht he Boy Scout District Award of Merit, The Silver Beaver Award, The Scoutmaster Award of Merit an dEarned the Commissioners Arrowhead award.
Presented with the St. George Emblem from the Catholic Committee on Boy Scouting, and the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Medal and the St. Anne Medal from the Catholic Committee on Girl Scouting. He has served on the National Religious Emblems Committee, Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the International Scouting committee, Alamo Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Erwin J. De Luna has two daughters, Katherine an Patricia and five grandchildren, Stephanie, Allison, Andrew, Matthew, and Madison, and one great granddaughter, Hailey Rose.
