HELEN MEYER

Helen Meyer

Elected Commissioner Fiesta® San Antonio

Although not a native San Antonian, Helen Meyer has proudly called San Antonio home for more than 40 years. She came to the city to earn her Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University, where she also met and married her college sweetheart, a lifelong San Antonian.

Helen built a successful career in health care, working with emergency medicine physicians, a major health care system, and later founding her own health care consulting firm. After stepping away from her professional career to raise her family, she devoted her time and talents to community service—a commitment that has become one of her life’s greatest passions.

Throughout the years, Helen has served in numerous volunteer leadership roles, including on the boards of her church, her children’s schools, and a local mental health hospital, where she also served as Board Chair. Inspired by her husband’s family’s longstanding tradition of Fiesta volunteerism, she became deeply involved with the Battle of Flowers Association. Her greatest honor was serving as Chair of the Battle of Flowers Parade, leading one of San Antonio’s most cherished and iconic traditions.

Helen is honored to serve as an Elected Commissioner of the Fiesta San Antonio Commission. She looks forward to supporting Fiesta’s mission, celebrating the rich culture and heritage of San Antonio, and partnering with the Participating Member Organizations whose dedication, service, and volunteer spirit make Fiesta one of the nation’s premier community celebrations.
