Johanna Christiansen

My name is Johanna Christiansen and I am excited to serve as a Fiesta Elected Commissioner! I was born in San Antonio and absolutely love Fiesta where I have been participating in Fiesta events since I was a child. I attended Texas A&M University graduating with a business undergraduate degree in 1994 and a master’s degree in Finance/Land Economics and Real Estate in 1996. WHOOP!! I am a Senior Vice President at Bank of America in Quality Control. I have been with Bank of America almost 30 years! I am currently on The Woman’s Club board as the Notifications Chair. I have served in many roles for The Woman’s Club over the years including Chair of the Queen’s Reception and Coronation Reception for 10+ years. One of the most rewarding roles for The Woman’s Club was serving as The Ingenue Chair for several years where I led young ladies ages 12 to 18 in various service projects including our annual Christmas Party for the Respite Care children. I enjoy Texas history and genealogy. I am a proud 7^th generation Texan with my ancestor Gustav Benner being listed as one of the founders of New Braunfels, Texas. I am a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Alamo Couriers chapter, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution de Bexar chapter, serve on the board of the State Association of Texas Pioneers, a member of the Junior League as a Sustainer, a member of Aggie Moms, and a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. I am married to my wonderful husband of 28 years Brian Christiansen and we have 3 children-Sophia Christiansen (Fiesta Teen Queen 2021) who is in her second year of graduate school at Texas A&M University obtaining a master’s degree in Medical Sciences & currently applying to medical school, Harold Christiansen who is a senior at Texas A&M University majoring in Visualization (computer science with art) & is President of his Christian fraternity KYX (I serve as the KYX Parent Club President), and Tessa Christiansen (Fiesta Teen Queen 2026) who is on the SMU Swim Team as a freshman majoring in Finance. I also look after my 92 year old father Harold Atkinson who also loves Fiesta! I love my family, Aggie football, SMU Swimming, and being at the beach! Viva Fiesta!!
