¡Viva Fiesta! As the vibrant confetti of memories from Fiesta 2023 settles, I am beyond thrilled and honored to step into the shoes of the 2024 Fiesta Commission President. The
mariachi of excitement is tuning up, and I extend my warmest saludos to each of you who make our beloved Fiesta a resounding success.
In the spirit of “Fiesta for All,” we embark on a new chapter, a jubilant celebration of unity, diversity, and shared joy. Fiesta is not just an event; it’s a tapestry woven with the threads of our unique stories, traditions, and the remarkable spirit of San Antonio.
Reflecting on my Fiesta journey, some of the fondest memories have been made alongside my own children – Mallory, Richard III, and Wesley – and I am encouraged to excitedly look to the future in my first granddaughter Sutton Grace. From a lifetime of attending the Battle of Flowers and River Parades to the lively NIOSA revelry, their laughter and enthusiasm have become an integral part of my own Fiesta family. This year, “Fiesta for All” resonates deeply as we embrace the inclusivity that defines our city.
As we prepare for another extraordinary Fiesta, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who transforms our beloved city into a canvas of color, music, and benevolence. Your dedication ensures that our historic city’s “Party with a Purpose” is not
just an expression; it’s a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our fellow San Antonians.
One of the greatest joys Fiesta brings is the opportunity to meet the incredible individuals whose lives are touched by the funds raised during this spectacular celebration.
