Richard E. Flores Jr. is a dedicated community leader and proud San Antonio native who has been actively involved with the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association®, Inc. since 2008. With over a decade of committed service, Richard has contributed across numerous facets of the organization, gaining deep insight into the logistics, creativity, and coordination required to produce one of the nation’s most celebrated nighttime parades. His passion lies in helping deliver an extraordinary experience—one filled with color, excitement, and pride—for all who attend.
A retired U.S. Army veteran, Richard honorably served his country for twenty years in the medical field. His service to others has continued beyond the military through extensive volunteerism. He is actively engaged in several organizations, including the Fiesta San Antonio Commission, the American Legion Post 485 J.F. Kennedy, and the Disabled Veterans Association, reflecting his enduring commitment to both civic and veteran communities.
As the eldest of six siblings, Richard brings a deep sense of responsibility and leadership to every role he takes on. He has been married to his wife, Jeanette Flores, for over fifty-two years. Together, they have raised four sons and are proud grandparents to four grandchildren.
Now serving as President of the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association, Richard remains dedicated to preserving and enhancing the legacy of the parade—ensuring it continues to inspire awe and bring joy to generations of festivalgoers.
