The Coronation of the Queen of The Order of the Alamo

• The Order was founded for the purpose of educating its members and the public generally in the history of the Independence of Texas and perpetuating the memory of the Battle of San Jacinto by having an annual ceremony in Bexar County, Texas.

• It was originally incorporated in 1915, making it one of the oldest Fiesta Organizations.

• The Order was also a founding organization PMO of the Fiesta Commission.

• Each year a Queen is elected from the membership.
