Event Details

The Children’s History Forum is an annual event held during Fiesta San Antonio. This year, events will be held at Casa Navarro, the home of Jose Antonio Navarro, a truest of Texans. Born in San Antonio, Navarro was a statesman, revolutionary, politician, rancher, and merchant. Students are taken back in time by reenactors and hostesses dressed in period clothing. Presentations of flags flown through San Antonio and Texas history and its presented in a way that is educational and entertaining.

The Alamo Couriers Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas is a 200-member chapter composed of women who are descendants of the citizens who settled Texas and gave birth to the Republic of Texas. We also sponsor a hundred-plus member Children of the Republic of Texas group. We encourage historical research into the earliest records of Texas, fostering heritage, preserving of documents and perpetuation of the memory and spirit of the men and women who pioneered, settled, and fought for Texas.
