Celebrating Fiesta Festival’s 25th Anniversary!!!
Our event benefits over 200 residents with intellectual and developmental
disabilities (IDD) that reside at the S.A. State Supported Living Center. Enjoy
our affordable food & drink booths, bring chairs for the mini-parade that
begins at Noon, featuring the fabulous Alamo City Community Marching Band,
Fiesta royalty, SASSLC royalty, dancers, cheerleaders, motorcycles, furry-pet
friends, Mariachis and more. The entertainment stage includes live Tejano
performances, ballet folklorico, dancers, mariachis and music all day long.
Enjoy a fun-filled family friendly midway with children games, food booths and
local vendors selling a large variety of goods. Fiesta Festival is the first official
fiesta event to cater to the special needs community. It changes lives, breaks
down barriers and includes our residents in the camaraderie of Fiesta.
The Volunteer Services Council (VSC) for the San Antonio State Supported
Living Center (SASSLC) provides volunteer support and funds for birthday
parties, holiday events and special recreation activities for the residents with
intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) that are served by the Living
Center.
Free admission and free parking.
